The sun shines every day at some point in Barbados with an average daily temperature of around 80-85° F, or 27-29°C. December to May are generally the driest months and rain showers fall during the months of June to November (also known as the hurricane season). Fortunately, hurricanes usually avoid Barbados as they arise off the African Coast and head to the Caribbean, swinging North about 100 miles from Barbados. The last time Barbados suffered a direct hit was in 1955.
The rain is sometimes a welcome relief and allows you to cool down from the blazing sun. The rain also helps to keep Barbados beautiful, green and lush!
November - April is high season in Barbados - a little cooler and much less humid
May - October is low season (and known as the ‘rainy’ season) so has a bit more rain and is more humid than other months. The rain tends to come down in one huge downpour for about 10 minutes and then normal sunny service resumes…
